OPM singers perform at Alpas Digital Concert

  Some of the notable original Pinoy music (OPM) singers have performed in the recent Alpas Digital Concert, June 5, Saturday.

  The show organized by GNN Entertainment Productions was graced by alternative and pop-folk artists Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Bullet Dumas, Ebe Dancel, and Johnoy Danao at the iconic Conspiracy Garden Cafe. Kitchie Nadal, on the other hand, joined the virtual concert from Madrid Spain.

  “It has been so long since we last played live gigs. We shot the concert at the Conspiracy, so we were filled with emotions during the recording. We were all overwhelmed. The cameras captured that, and I hope the audience gets to see that, too,” Dumas said in a conference ahead of the concert.

  “We want you to feel like you’re with us. You have no idea how much we miss the stage and the fans. We get messages every day, saying that they miss the shows,” Dancel added.

  The digital concert wanted to bring the show to all the supporters and those attending gigs. “Some of them rely on the shows to heal or find refuge. It’s a way for them to cap off their day or celebrate something. The gigs were essential to them,” De Leon said.

  The recent ‘Alpas’ Digital Concert was livestreamed on Kumu at 6:00 PM of June 5.
