“You’re either with us or you can keep it to yourself.”

Five years later, Paramore is back with a new era! The band launched a new single “This Is Why,” visually accompanied by a music video. The band also announced an upcoming album with the same title.

The recently released single tackles their growth as a band, and getting through obstacles over the past few years, especially amid the global pandemic. More so, the music video is set as if it was in scenic film production; it also pays homage to the previous musical eras Paramore had gone through since 2007 – from “Riot!” to their last “After Laughter” in 2017.

Paramore lead vocalist Hayley Williams sent out a message to the fans via Discord:

She quoted, “The idea of getting out there and doing what we do at a time like this feels heavy and futile and necessary all at once. It also feels like the perfect time to take advantage of every opportunity we are given to leveraging our platform for good causes. Whether those are literal causes or whether it’s just about showing ourselves and each other that music is still a good place to be.

Listen to “This Is Why” and check the music video out below:

Paramore is an American band that comprises Hayley Williams, Taylor York, and Zac Farro. They are known for their notable releases such as “Misery Business,” “Still Into You,” and “Hard Times,” to name a few. “This Is Why” (the album), with 10 new songs, is set for release on February 10, 2023.
