Parokya Ni Edgar’s “Your Song” reaches 100 million streams on Spotify

  Parokya Ni Edgar’s ‘Your Song’ has now reached over 100 million streams on Spotify. A huge achievement for the band since this is the first of their many songs in the platform to ever hit this milestone. 

  ‘Your song’ came out in 2003 but was never released as an official track for their album, “Bigotilyo.” It is a very straightforward love song written and sung by their guitarist, Gab Chee Kee. This is one of their few songs written in English. 

  Parokya Ni Edgar is a Filipino rock band formed in 1993 by a group of Ateneo students. They are very well-known for their songs like ‘Buloy,’ ‘Harana,’ ‘Halaga,’ ‘Inuman Na,’ and a lot more. Lyrics to their songs are often relatable to the usual Filipino listeners and can easily be sung. Therefore, most of their songs from the oldest to their latest albums can be heard almost in every corner of the country.
