Paul McCartney has remembered his former Beatles colleague, the late John Lennon on his death anniversary, December 8, Tuesday.

In a Facebook post, McCartney shared an old and grayscale photo of him and Lennon which was taken by Linda McCartney.

With a hashtag #JohnLennon, McCartney wrote, “A sad sad day but remembering my friend John with the great joy he brought to the world. I will always be proud and happy to have known and worked with this incredible Scouser! X love Paul.”

Forty years ago, on 8th December of 1980, John Lennon was murdered in the archway of The Dakota, his residence in New York City by a fan who doesn’t like Lennon’s lifestyle and public statements.
