Power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z makes history with tie for most Grammy nominations

On Tuesday, November 15, Beyoncé received the most 2023 Grammy nominations with nine nods, putting her into a tie with her husband Jay-Z as the most nominated artist of all time.
Beyoncé’s nine nominations were spread across several categories, with her chart-topping song “Break My Soul” receiving nods for song and record of the year.With her eighth record of the year nomination, she also broke a tie with the legendary Frank Sinatra, who notched seven nominations in the same category during his career.
Beyoncé also made her first appearances in a few categories, with “Break My Soul” and “Renaissance” earning her first nods for best dance/electronic recording and best dance/electronic music album, respectively.
View this post on InstagramMeanwhile, three of Jay-Z’s nominations came through DJ Khaled’s single “God Did.” The track is up for best rap performance and rap song, along with song of the year, which also has Jay-Z nominated for his writing efforts on Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul.” The rapper also received a nod for album of the year for his work on his wife’s “Renaissance” album.
Other notable Grammy contenders are Kendrick Lamar with eight nominations; Adele and Brandi Carlile, each with seven; as well as Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, Future, DJ Khaled and the producer and songwriter The-Dream, each with six Grammy nominations. The full list of nominees is on the website.
Beyoncé is the most-awarded female artist in Grammy’s history with 28 wins to date. Should she win four out of the nine she’s nominated for, she will go on as the most awarded artist of all time, surpassing conductor Sir Georg Solti, who has won 31.
To determine the winners, a final round of voting will take place on December 14. The awarding ceremony will be on February 5, 2023 at Crypto.com center, Los Angeles.Escape to the dance world through Renaissance here:
