Priscilla Presley speaks up after loss of daughter Lisa Marie

  The only child of “King of Rock and Roll” Elvis Presley and American actress & businesswoman Priscilla Presley – Lisa Marie Presley passed away on Thursday after being admitted to the hospital due to cardiac arrest.

  77-year-old Priscilla then released a statement: “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.” More so, she added:  “She was the most passionate strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”

  On January 12, 10:40 A.M. deputies responded to Lisa Marie’s Calabasas residence at the request of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. They saw paramedics treating the 54-year-old woman who was experiencing a cardiac attack. Lisa Marie was given epinephrine at least once as paramedics tried to revive her through CPR.

  Priscilla posted on Instagram: “My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care.” Additionally, she said, “Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time.”

  Just recently, Lisa Marie and Priscilla attended the 80th Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday, January 10 – to celebrate Austin Butler, who received the Best Actor award (in a drama film). Butler portrayed the Rock & Roll King in the biopic “Elvis,” directed by Baz Luhrmann.

  Lisa Marie Presley was an American singer-songwriter born on February 1, 1968, to parents Elvis and Priscilla. She was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and later in Los Angeles.
