The Quezon City Regional Trial Court has ordered singer-actress Nadine Lustre to honor and uphold her obligations with VIVA Artist Agency, Inc., June 14, Monday.
“The Quezon City RTC issued a resolution granting the petition for interim measures of protection filed by VIVA Artists Agency, Inc. directing Nadine Lustre to honor and uphold her contractual obligations with VIVA and to cease and desist from entering into contracts and/or performing acts for third parties for her services as an artist/endorser without VIVA’s consent and participation,” VAAI said in a statement through their legal counsel of Viva, Atty. Paolo Roxas.
“In its Resolution, the Court found Nadine’s contract to be valid and subsisting,” he added.
On the counterpart, Lustre’s legal counsel, Atty. Lorna Kapunan, considered the ruling as victory. In a statement given to ABS-CBN News, she said, “We still consider it a victory since Viva was not able to get her hard\-earned money during the time of her self-management; no attachment and garnishments to her property and savings. The question of termination of her contract will have to go through the process of labor arbitration.”
