American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd climbs from no. 9 to no. 1 to end The Chainsmoker’s 12-week reign on Hot 100 according to Billboard.
‘Black Beatles’ which featured hip hop artist Gucci Mane was released on Eardrummer/Interscope Records.
The song gained more traction from its usage in viral Mannequin Challenge videos, including one by a former Beatle, Paul McCartney.
As the song unseats ‘Closer’ for the top spot, it has now become the top selling and most streamed song of the week. On the digital Song Sales chart, it vaults 16-1 and 5-1 on Streaming Songs.
‘Black Beatles’ is the first Hot 100 topper for both brother duo Rae Sremmurd (Khalif ‘Swae Lee’ Brown and Aaquil ‘Silm Jxmmi’ Brown) and Gucci Mane
