Rapper, actor DMX dies

• American rapper and actor DMX or Dark Man X, died after suffering a heart attack due to drug overdose, April 9, Friday.

  “We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50 years old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days,” the family wrote in a statement.

  The rapper was reported collapsed at home and was taken immediately to a New York hospital and placed on life support having no brain activity recorded.

  DMX released eight albums and was nominated for three Grammys. His intense songs told stories about ‘sins of the streets.’
