Regine Velasquez receives ‘a very very expensive’ gift from Sharon Cuneta

  Megastar Sharon Cuneta surprised Regine Velasquez-Alcasid with a “very very expensive” two-finger diamond ring last Saturday according to ABS-CBN News.

  The gift was given after the two superstars engage in a friendly banter onstage after Regine performed Cuneta’s popular movie themes “Bituin Walang Ningning and “Pangarap na Bituin.”

  “Hindi kita talaga matiis, meron akong gustong ibigay sa ‘yo,” Cuneta told the Songbird. “Every year, God is so good to me. He gives me gifts. This year, He gave me a few, not just one. There was a year when He gave me Ogie and Ogie is now one of my best friends. I opened up my heart to him. He prays with me. This year, He gave me you. We had no time to be close before.”

  “Nanood ka ba ng ‘Sex and the City 2’,” Cuneta asked Velasquez. “There was this scene where there was this auction – do you remember the scene? – and Samantha was going to buy this beautiful ring. Then her boyfriend bought it for her. Ako, upset ako dahil gusto kong bilhin ‘yung singsing. So nagpagawa ako. Ito ang ibibigay ko sa ‘yo.”

  Sharon Cuneta then removed the big glittery jewelry from her right hand and gave it to the Songbird. The songbird could not believe it,“Ay, sosyal! Hindi nga? Pwede bang isangla ito?”

  Megastar even explained that the jewelry was to commemorate the first time that they have worked together. She even told the Songbird that whenever she looks at that ring, she should remember that it is from the bottom of her heart and it is very very expensive; all diamonds.
