Award-winning musician Rico Blanco is set to take the center stage at the Big Dome for his first solo concert.
In a press conference last July, the OPM rock icon surprised his fans with the announcement of his self-titled concert, produced by KDR Music House, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on September 11, 2022. The concert will also feature performances from acclaimed musician Ebe Dancel, singer-songwriter Zild, and Wishcovery Originals grand winner Peniel.
His partner, Maris Racal, however, won’t be able to make an appearance due to a prior commitment for her upcoming series.
It can be recalled that Rico is one of the many artists who kept the music scene alive at the height of the pandemic. While the current situation may pose a challenge on ticket sales, Rico believes that concerts are a product of habit. “Someone’s gotta do it. Someone’s gotta start. I’m happy to take on that risk, with the support of our friends. We know this is a different environment. This is not the height of people going out, but we also know that people are really hungry to experience live music again in this way. So, we’ll try and just go for it. It’s part of my career anyway — to try things for the first time. I’ve always seen challenges as opportunities to bring about new things, and a new way of doing things,” Rico added.
Ready to sing your hearts out to “214,” “Antukin,” “Kisapmata,” and more? Tickets priced between P500-6000, are on sale via TicketNet outlets and ticketnet.com.ph so, make sure to grab it while you still can!
