Selena Gomez is no longer the most followed star on Instagram

  Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo takes over the top spot pushing Selena Gomez off of the spot after the singer took a social media break last September 23 according to Billboard.

  As of Monday morning, Ronaldo has 144,320,476 followers on Instagram which ended Selena’s title for being the Instagram Queen more than two years.

  “As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given,” Gomez wrote last month.

  After her announcement, Selena reportedly entered a mental health treatment facility on October 11 after suffering an “emotional breakdown.”

  Mood lol (I was looking at myself in the mirror -like an idiot!) Update: taking a social media break. Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given.
