Singer/rapper Aaron Carter passes away at 34

    Late 1990s-early 2000s child star, teenage heartthrob, singer-turned-rapper, and brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter – Aaron died on November 5, 2022, at 11 a.m. He was found lifeless in his bathtub in his Lancaster home, according to 911 responders. Though as of writing, there are no leads to his cause of death.

    Despite their troubled relationship, his older brother Nick expressed his mourning:

    Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here,” the Backstreet Boys member added.

    Looking back on the late Aaron Carter’s life, he received support from fans and celebrities in 2017 after coming out as bisexual. He opened up that at the age of 13, he started to find both men and women attractive.

    Although in the same year, Carter was arrested in Georgia on charges of driving under influence (DUI) and marijuana possession while traveling through Habersham County with then-girlfriend Madison Parker. According to CNN, the artist denied all these allegations in an interview – expressing “he does not need help.”

    More so, in a 2019 episode of “The Doctors,” Carter revealed his mental health battle – including multiple personality disorder (MPD), schizophrenia, acute anxiety, and manic depression.

    On a positive note, he and Melanie Martin had their son Prince in November 2021. He is survived by the son as mentioned earlier.

    Born in Tampa, Florida, on Dec. 7, 1987, Aaron Carter first found fame as a 9-year-old boy with pop songs like “I Want Candy” and “Crush on You.” More so, his career kicked off with his debut, self-titled studio album in 1997, and is the opening act for his older brother’s group Backstreet Boys. He is best known for his sitcom roles in “Lizzie McGuire,” “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch,” and more. His last release was the studio album “Love” in 2018.
