At least eight people were dead and dozens injured after a packed crowd surged toward the stage at Travis Scott‘s Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas in the United States, November 5, Friday.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner reported victims’ ages were 14, 16, 21, 23, 27, and other one still unknown. At least 25 people were rushed to the hospital and no missing individual reported.

“My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival. Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need,” Scott said in a statement.

About 50,000 people were at the sold-out Astroworld Festival at NRG Park. The incident took place after 9:00 in the evening. Houston police was forced to stop the concert after resources became overwhelmed.
