Suicide Squad soundtrack tops Billboard 200 Chart

  Suicide Squad soundtrack climbs the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart on its debut, earning 182,000 equivalent album units in the week ending August 11 (Nielsen Music), according to Billboard.

  Of that sum, 128,000 came from traditional album sales while the remaining numbers came from track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums. ‘Suicide Squad’ soundtrack now holds the record for having the best sales debut for a soundtrack in a year and a half.

  The all-star ‘Suicide Squad’ soundtrack features hit singles from artists like Twenty One Pilots, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons, Skrillex and Rick Ross and Kehlani.

  The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
