The 58th Annual Grammy Awards kicked off last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ soul hit ‘Uptown Funk’ snagged the Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Remixed Recording.
The chart-topping pop star, Taylor Swift garnered three awards — Album of the Year and Pop Vocal Album for ‘1989’ and Best Music Video for ‘Bad Blood’.
The award for the Best New Artist went to ‘All About That Bass’ singer Meghan Trainor.
Ed Sheeran won two Grammys including one of the biggest award, Song of the Year for ‘Thinking Out Loud’. Sheeran also won the Best Pop Solo Performance for the same single.

Hip Hop artist Kendrick Lamar took four awards including the Best Rap Album for ‘To Pimp a Butterfly’; Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for ‘Alright’; and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for ‘These Walls’ featuring Bilal, Anna Wise and Thundercat.

Among the artists who won multiple awards were rock band Alabama Shakes who took three awards: Alternative Music Album for ‘Sound and Color’ as well as the Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance for ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’; R&B singer The Weeknd won the Best Contemporary Album for ‘Beauty Behind the Madness’ and Best R&B Performance for Fifty Shades OST ‘Earned It’; and Skrillex and Diplo with best dance recording for Where Are Ü Now, and top dance/electronic album for Skrillex And Diplo Present Jack Ü.
