Yeng Constantino reveals meaning behind song ‘B.A.B.A.Y’

• Singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino has revealed the reason behind composing her song entitled, ‘B.A.B.A.Y,’ January 28, Friday.

  Constantino has actually talked about her romantic history with Ryan Bang in the noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime.’ Bang has ‘ghosted’ the singer after suddenly stopped pursuing her without any notice.

  What happened between them made Constantino wrote the song ‘B.A.B.A.Y.’ “Actually ang ‘Chinito’ sumulat lalaki, si Jed Dumawal, ang aking kaibigan. ‘Chinita’ siya dati, narinig ko sabi ko ‘Ang ganda ng kanta, gusto ko kantahin.’ Pero may isang song na medyo pinaghugutan talaga ng mga pinagdaanan namin. Alam niyo ‘yung song ko na B.A.B.A.Y?” Constantino explained. The singer actually sang a part of the song.

  She later thanked Bang for memories they had shared before. “Salamat kasi doon sa short period of time na pinaramdam mo sa akin na special ako, importante ako, nung time na ‘yon sobrang nag-matter ‘yon sa akin and what I want us to take from this experience is ‘yung saya na naidulot natin sa isa’t isa ‘nung time na ‘yon,” she told Bang.

  Yeng Constantino has been married for seven years to musician Yan Asuncion. Ryan Bang, on the other hand, is currently single and not dating anyone.
