Forever May Not Be What You Really Want

  In your lifetime, there will always be that one person who complements every little thing that you are. Someone you are comfortable to be with even if you’re in your rawest. Someone who just love every piece of you whether good or bad. And you feel the same with them. And maybe, just maybe, you thought that this person’s gonna stay…like forever.

  However, unexpected things sometimes happen and we are just caught off guard. We are holding on to the thought that love conquers all that we forgot to think that, maybe, love also stops. It stops when it doesn’t work anymore; when it can’t breathe anymore; when it can’t fight even if it has the strength to because it has lost its courage to go on. Maybe love stops when it’s fed up. And when it’s not growing anymore.

  Because sometimes you thought that you have touched your forever; or that maybe you thought that this is the love that you’ve been praying for; when you thought that the person you are waking up with each morning is the person you want to have breakfast with for the rest of your life; when you thought that you just met the person you’d always wanted to celebrate life with; and it’s the face you can look at every single breathing moment of your life; when you just found the person whom you’ll allow to snatch you for a while just to kiss you; when you just found the human being that you want to see every after dragging day at work; when you just found the person who can give you unusual heart beat and make the butterflies in your stomach play around at the same time; and when you just found the person who made you see and feel how beautiful love is…

  …that’s when that person needs to leave.

  That’s when universe will play its trick. That’s when you began to doubt love. That’s the time that you won’t understand fate. And that’s the time you’ll go back to the question if love really conquers all.

  But again, maybe, just maybe love is not the person you have formed in your head. Maybe love is not the marrying type. Maybe love is more irritating than your little sibling. Maybe love doesn’t have the face that you can look at every single day. Maybe love is not just the way you want it.

  But maybe it’s all worth it.

  Worth the time you’ve cried. Worth the time you got hurt. Worth the time you were left behind. Worth every question you have inside your head.

  And after all the questioning, after all the doubts, maybe this time it’ll stay. You may not complement each other but this time, you’re sure that it’s gonna be forever.
