How the internet went crazy for John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s recent encounter

  As much as we hate to burst your bubble guys, the John Lloyd-Bea encounters, yes “encounters” because we are talking about the few encounters of these two that made the Pinoy rom-com fans go crazy are all a part of an experimental short film entitled “Love Team” written and directed by none other than the local filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone.

  There have been flirty exchanges between the two on Instagram weeks prior the IG live that circulated online. John Lloyd Cruz left comments on Bea Alonzo’s old Instagram posts that caused the online community to start speculating that there must be something going on between the two.

  Fans have been shipping these two ever since they teamed up for One More Chance in 2007. Everyone loved the Popoy and Basha tandem but who doesn’t, right? They got their fans like, “Sana kayo na lang dalawa. Sana kayo na lang!” But what seems to be a dream come true to their fans is another masterpiece that gave them the Popoy-Basha feels once again in 2020.

  It was revealed on an Instagram post that director Antoinette Jadoane worked with The Unconfined Cinema and they were able to explore the possibilities of cinema specially with the country’s current situation. “Love Team” was told outside the traditional film set-up. The director made it so real that the Instagram live made rounds on social media. Everyone was talking about it on different platforms.

  The entire Instagram live revolved around the two actors exchanging playful questions, reciting their lines from their best movies and a little haranahan session which sent the Pinoy rom-com fans in frenzy.

  This might not be what the whole online community expected but everyone’s ecstatic to see the two getting in touch after so many years of not sharing the screen together.
