Traveling to Manila City on a normal day is already a tiring experience. Imagine if some of the roads were closed on your way to the office? This is exactly what is going to happen on June 30 as President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos held his inauguration in the National Museum. Hence, if you’re traveling around Manila City, here are some alternate routes you can take.

Northbound public and private vehicles coming from Roxas Blvd. should turn right on UN or Kalaw Avenue. You can turn left to Taft Avenue after. On the other hand, eastbound private and PUVs can take the same route but need to turn right on Taft Avenue.

Trucks coming from South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) must go to Osmeña Hwy. then turn left to Quirino Ave. then turn right on Roxas Blvd. straight to Bonifacio Dr.

Another route that northbound trucks can take from SLEX is Osmeña Hwy. then, turn right on Quirino Avenue. Next, proceed to Nagtahan St. going to Lacson Avenue. After that, you can turn left to Yuseco St. going to Capulong St. then turn right to Road 10.

Meanwhile, trucks going to SLEX can take Bonifacio Drive then straight to Roxas Blvd. Turn left on Quirino Avenue then turn right to Osmeña straight to SLEX.

What roads are not passable on June 30?

The following roads were closed to traffic starting earlier this week until 11 p.m. on June 30; P. Burgos Ave., Finance Rd., Ma. Orosa St., and Gen. Luna St.

On the other hand, Ayala Blvd. and Victoria St. would be closed on June 30, from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. Roxas Blvd. is closed to traffic from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 30.
