It must be so thrilling to be able to set foot on your dream destination. Imagine one day you get to afford that two-way ticket to your dream destination that you have been saving for for several months. Also, the place which used to be just on your dream board and saved posts on Facebook is now at the bottom of your wanderlust feet. We are just talking about one place. Can you imagine what it feels like to have set foot on every country on the map including your dream destinations and even the places you can’t even pronounce? We could definitely ask the first female to ever visit every country on Earth acccording to ABCStories.info.
I’m pretty sure you may ask how she was able to visit every country there is on Earth! 27-year-old Cassie De Pecol who is from Connecticut spent a total of $111,000 and 18 months to complete her journey around the world.
De Pecol had to get really creative to pay for the trip. She told MONEY in a Facebook Live interview that she saved $10,000 from two babysitting jobs and she used Michael Phelps as her model as she networked to find sponsors and investors to fund the rest of the trip.
All in all she was able to visit 196 countries since July 2015. Her amazing journey is called Expedition196 and she is travelling as an Ambassador for Peace on behalf of the International Institute for Peace Through Tourism.
Cassandra De Pecol already broke two Guinness World Records.
