GrabCar, GrabTaxi resume 24/7 operations in Metro Manila, provinces

  After months of suspension because of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, Grab Philippines has announced that GrabCar and GrabTaxi services are once again functional all day and all night.

  The announcement was made because of the gradual easing of restrictions on public transportations. The ride-hailing services will now be back on its 24-hour operations in certain parts of the country.

  This recent development started on the midnight of October 20, 2020. Both GrabCar and GrabTaxi services cater passengers at all hours of the day in Metro Manila, Pampanga and Cebu. At the same time, GrabTaxi services were all back in Baguio City and Naga City in Luzon, Bacolod City and Iloilo City in Visayas, Cagayan de Oro City and Davao City in Mindanao.

  Commuters said that it would be helpful not just to employees or workers dealing with night ride but to all healthcare frontliners because of the extended operating hours. It will also help those displaced drivers both in Metro Manila and provinces to have incomes again after battling with the scourge of the pandemic.

  Commuters are reminded as well of the basic health protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields while in transit. Also, Grab is thoroughly implementing contactless payments through GrabPay. If a passenger refuses to comply with these guidelines, his or her Grab driver may choose to cancel the booking.
