If there is one thing that will forever be associated with Manila, it would be traffic. Traffic will always be a part of every commuter’s life whether they like it or not.
Last Tuesday, the Metro Manila Development Authority has announced that the Metro Manila Council has approved the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) scheme where “only those vehicles with two or more passengers would have the privilege to traverse EDSA.”
MMDA has yet to announce when it will be effective but it has already received a lot of violent reactions especially from the netizens. Amidst these comments, netizens also shared their own hugots regarding this new scheme. It is not surprising since Filipinos are well known to drive hugots from any situation this world offers.

Memes aside, the MMDA just want to clarify that violators will be apprehended and they just aim to ease the traffic congestion in EDSA. The test run of MMDA’s proposed High Occupancy Vehicle Scheme on EDSA will take effect today from 7-10 AM and from 6-9PM. Brace yourself for more hugots from the netizens starting today.
