  • Organizers of the Travel Sale Expo 2023 announced on Wednesday that both local and international travelers who plan to explore various destinations in the Philippines can look forward to an even more thrilling and unique experience. The expo, scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 1 at a mall in Mandaluyong, will showcase a wide range of thematic tour packages, including options for honeymooners, sports enthusiasts, and those seeking health and wellness activities.

Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the rich historical and cultural aspects of the Philippines, as amusement parks and museums will be participating in the event.

Michelle Taylan, the Chairperson of Travel Sale Expo 2023, expressed that travelers can anticipate a host of distinctive new offerings, as the expo welcomes the participation of more travel agencies, hotels, airlines, resorts, tour operators, travel insurance providers, and travel accessories providers. Approximately 200 exhibitors are expected to take part in the Travel Sale Expo, with an estimated foot traffic of 60,000 visitors, as stated by Taylan.

Taylan emphasized that the event is open to everyone, regardless of affiliation with any association. As long as businesses operate legitimately, they are encouraged to join the travel world expo. She also mentioned that a series of similar expos will follow after the upcoming one.

The Tourism Congress of the Philippines (TCP) believes that the Travel Sale Expo 2023 will further enhance tourism in the country and attract more foreign visitors. TCP President Bob Zozobrado highlighted the expansion of the expos, which initially focused on discounted travel abroad but now include visitors coming from other countries.

Tour operators from various nations will play a role in bringing in tourists from abroad. Zozobrado expressed confidence in the thriving state of tourism in the Philippines, stating that the target of welcoming 4.8 million foreign tourists this year will likely be surpassed.
