• How do you maintain a close relationship with your friend who eventually becomes your boss without sacrificing professionalism? How do you deal with this?

  In this episode of Coffee Break, DJs Chloe, Nick, and Shai shared their thoughts on the topic. For Chloe and Nick, they said that they haven’t experienced a friend who eventually becomes their boss. But for Shai, it was a different story because it really did sting for her because tenure-wise, she was in the company longer. Chloe also shared that her promotion did not affect her friendship with Nick.

  When asked if it’s okay to have friends in the office, “One way to survive in the company is to have peers,” Shai said. While for Chloe, “We are there to work, to have a friend is a bonus,” she said.

  To end their conversation, Nick said that we should be careful in sharing certain topics especially if you’re in the workplace. It is better if you share those things with your friends outside work.
