Tala Gil makes it personal with new EP “call me when you wake up”

• Fast rising and young singer-songwriter Tala Gil virtually graced Easy Rock Plugged In!

  DJ Shai and Tala Gil had a very chill and fun conversation talking about the story behind her name, how she have grown musically, how her new EP came about, her musical influences, and her favorite song.

  On her name, Tala revealed is actually her real name and not a stage name. “I think it’s funny because people think that I’m like creative enough to come up with that name when the reality is I didn’t even think of a stage name,” she said.

  When DJ Shai asked Tala on how she have grown musically since the release of her first song ‘Nothing Personal,’ “I think how I grew as an artist I guess started with the pandemic. My writing kind of just evolved into me and the guitar and or me and the piano. It just became more honest, more raw,” Tala told Shai.

  Tala also shared on she came about her new EP entitled ‘call me when you wake up.’ The singer admitted that the EP took a year before it was released. “It’s just like I didn’t really think I wanted to be these songs in an EP until maybe like the last two months before the release and then I realized like okay these songs actually mesh well together.”

  The young singer Tala Gil also performed her new song off from her EP called ‘Sandcastles.’
